“Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.” - Gary Snyder
When I met Natania — a young artist and entrepreneur — I discovered a soul whose earliest inspirations sprang from the natural world. She spent years working in tree removal, and from childhood she found in nature a quiet peace and grounding that eluded the rush of everyday life. Working among trees only deepened her love and respect for the living world.
A visit to the Montreal Botanical Garden awakened a desire in her to understand plants more deeply. She decided to study horticulture, drawn especially to the art of flower pressing — a practice that would soon become central to her creative path. She now describes her work as “painting with flowers.”
For Natania, art and nature are inseparable — a source of purpose and connection. She sees plants not as materials, but as living memories and silent stories. Echoing Snyder’s words, she embraces a belief that humans are not separate from nature, but part of it; and that the Earth is not a mere backdrop or a weekend escape, but our home. Through her art, she invites others to rediscover a sense of belonging — to recognize that humans are part of a larger, interconnected whole. In a world overloaded with noise and hurry, her art is a quiet ritual — a reconnection. It’s where she finds balance, authenticity, and a sense of belonging far from digital distraction.
As a single parent, life has at times been a struggle. Yet she draws strength and inspiration from her children: they awaken in her a playful, free-spirited energy, unburdened by rigid expectations — allowing intuition and creativity to flourish. During a painful separation, she transformed her hardship into art. From struggle rose resilience; from pain — beauty. Her journey mirrors the cycles of nature itself. Just as seasons change and forests endure, she bends with the winds of life, adapting and growing.
Whether preserving a wedding bouquet so memories last, or creating a memorial piece to honor love or loss, her work resonates and is gaining popularity. Natania is a horticulturist, botanical artist, and the heart behind “Everlasting Botanicals — where each piece is lovingly crafted to preserve memories and celebrate life’s most precious moments.” Alongside nurturing her art, she runs a small gardening business. Though she works alone for now, she envisions growing it into a flourishing enterprise with a dedicated crew - she sees a team beside her, tending soil and dreams.
At the heart of Natania’s vision lies a moral compass shaped by reverence and mindfulness. She invites us to rethink our view of the outdoors — not as a luxury or a place for sporadic visits, but as a shared home we all belong to. A home that asks only that we respect, and remember.
