Every so often, I step back from the noise of the world and allow myself a moment of quiet reflection. Yesterday was one of those moments—a welcome pause that gently redirected my thoughts.
In a time when global uncertainty often weighs heavily, Hudson offered something different: a day filled with joy, connection, and gratitude. It was a reminder that when a community comes together in celebration, we are fortunate—fortunate to feel safe, to belong, and to share in something meaningful.
The St. Patrick’s parade in Hudson was a resounding success. A vibrant, enthusiastic crowd lined the streets, fully immersed in the spirit of the day. The event unfolded seamlessly, a testament to the dedication and collaboration of the local business community, whose efforts transformed the celebration into an unforgettable occasion.
Among those who brought energy and colour to the parade were Cardinal Microbrasserie, Château du Lac & Alibi, Rube’s Restaurant, and Décor Hudson, alongside Hudson officials and local schools—all contributing to the festive atmosphere.
Later, at the Kingfisher Pub, Sylvain and I joined friends in a lively gathering that perfectly extended the day’s spirit. The pub was alive with music, laughter, and conversation, as the Kingfisher team served beer and wine with warmth and genuine hospitality. Inside and out on the terrace, the space was filled to capacity—buzzing with life. It was clear that the owners, Charlie, Michael, and Darryl, took great pride in seeing their establishment so full of joy.
It was, in every sense, a day to remember—a simple yet powerful reminder of the beauty found in community.
