“Inaugural Celebration: Viva Vida Art Unveiled”

What a joy it is to share that I will be exhibiting in the inaugural show at Viva Vida’s brand-new Vaudreuil-Dorion space!

Founded by Nedia El Khouri, Viva Vida Art Gallery has been a vibrant hub for art and community since 2009. Nedia, with her Brazilian roots and global vision, believes deeply in the power of art to educate, challenge, and transform the way we see the world. Her guiding motto—“Art is life… life is art”—perfectly captures the spirit of Viva Vida. More than a gallery, it is a people’s space: a place to communicate, educate, and create.

This mission resonates strongly with my own artistic journey. That is why I am thrilled to be part of this inaugural exhibition.

Delphine & Rose from the Voices of Women Series draws inspiration from the Pre-Raphaelites—Victorian-era artists who broke free from rigid academic traditions. In the same spirit of rebellion, I merge photography and painting, fusing images and enriching them with layers of oil paint on canvas. The result is a body of work that exists between two worlds: reality and imagination.

In the forgotten echoes of ancient civilizations, the feminine was not silenced but exalted—a principle of harmony woven into the rhythm of life itself. Eckhart Tolle, in A New Earth, gives voice to this memory: “The suppression of the feminine principle, especially over the past two thousand years, has enabled the ego to gain absolute supremacy in the collective human psyche… The female form… has greater openness and sensitivity toward other life-forms and is more attuned to the natural world.”
