“Layers of a Life: Where Art Meets Nature”

As we reach a certain stage in life, memories naturally accumulate, and I carry many with me. At times, it feels as though I have lived several lives at once, each filled with unique experiences. I left my hometown to marry in Omaha, Nebraska, later returned to Montreal, then relocated to Antwerp, Belgium. Following a brief return to Montreal, I relocated to New York to work at the United Nations and pursue my art. When I eventually retired from the UN, I settled in Les Cèdres for six years while traveling widely to present my art across Europe and North Africa.

Today, I am happily settled in Hudson, embracing a new chapter of life. I feel deeply grateful for the journeys that allowed me to witness the beauty of diverse cultures set against the grandeur of the natural world. Along the way, I have gathered countless images and precious memories of the people I’ve met. Each experience has shaped me, adding layers to who I am and to the essence of my work.

For more than 25 years, my art has been exhibited internationally, and in recent years, some pieces have taken on new life as art murals—a venture where art and nature converge. One of the most meaningful moments for me was seeing Field of Dreams installed in private homes in both Long Island and Montreal. To witness how art and nature could infuse those spaces with peace, beauty, and a sense of belonging was indescribable. It felt as though the work had transcended me, connecting to something larger and timeless.
