Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting MapleRidge Stables, warmly hosted by its owner, Marie-Ève Nadeau. A passionate young entrepreneur rooted in nature, Marie-Ève pours her heart into caring for horses, rabbits, cats—and even her own bees. She dedicates time, effort, and genuine affection to every creature in her stable, cultivating a welcoming environment that invites visitors to reconnect with the natural world.
Her enthusiasm extends beyond animal care; she also fosters a special community spirit. I am grateful to be part of a monthly gathering there—a circle of dynamic businesswomen drawn together by Marie-Ève’s nurturing leadership.
MapleRidge Stables, nestled on Mont Rigaud in Rigaud, Quebec, is a charming equestrian facility that caters to riders of all levels. Their philosophy prioritizes trust and freedom over force, offering educational, low-pressure experiences. From beginner-friendly courses to private trail rides with miniature horses, the ranch provides heartfelt guidance and connection.
In addition to equestrian programs, the ranch is well-known for its rabbitry, especially Himalayan rabbits in black, blue, chocolate, and lilac. Their calm temperament makes them perfect for children and 4‑H projects. Maple Ridge also breeds and sells Quarter Horses, Miniature Horses, and German Shepherd dogs .
I also want to celebrate The West Island Women Entrepreneurs, a vibrant group of driven young businesswomen who meet monthly. They embody energy, innovation, and trailblazing spirit—qualities I admire deeply. Their ambition and camaraderie light the way for all of us, helping usher women into their rightful place in the business world
