One of the many pleasures of living at the Manoir is discovering the beautiful gardens lovingly created by its residents. Although informal in design, these small personal sanctuaries reflect the creativity, care, and pride of the people who tend them. Each garden has its own character, transforming terraces into colourful havens filled with flowers, greenery, and welcoming touches.
One resident, whose quiet generosity speaks louder than words, has devoted herself not only to nurturing an abundance of flowers but also to caring for the birds that visit each day. Her garden has become a peaceful refuge where colourful blooms and birds coexist in perfect harmony. Watching the feathered visitors gather around the feeders is a daily reminder that simple acts of kindness can enrich both nature and the lives of those around us.
It is this spirit of care and beauty that I cherish most about life at the Manoir. Many residents with private terraces have transformed their outdoor spaces into delightful gardens, each one reflecting its owner's personality and love of nature. Together, they create a landscape that changes with the seasons and brings joy to everyone who passes by.
Behind the Manoir, a quiet forest borders the old railway tracks, offering one of my favourite places for a leisurely walk. Surrounded by towering trees, birdsong, and the changing colours of the seasons, it is easy to feel connected to the natural world.
We are truly fortunate to live in Hudson, a picturesque bilingual village nestled along the shores of the Lake of Two Mountains, approximately 60 kilometres west of Montreal. Renowned for its vibrant artistic community, charming boutiques, scenic trails, and peaceful rural setting, Hudson is a place where nature and community flourish side by side. It is a town that inspires creativity, fosters meaningful connections, and reminds us every day of the quiet beauty that surrounds us.
